Summer Camp

Quaker Center Camp is amazing.

Quaker Center 2025 dates will be announced here very shortly.
Please check back!

For decades, Quaker Center has offered unique overnight summer camp experience for children and young people. Coming to Quaker Center Camp is an unforgettable experience of friendship, service, art and fun in the redwoods. Campers are also introduced to Quaker practices such as collective silence and group decision-making.

Quaker Center Camp is a collaboration between the Ben Lomond Quaker Center and the Youth Programs of Pacific Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).

While this special camp is under the care of Friends (Quakers) and takes place in a Friendly setting of peace, inclusivity, service and mutual respect, campers do not have to be Quaker to participate. Everyone is welcome at Quaker Center camp!

Again in 2025, we will hold two, week-long sessions of camp.

The first session, for younger campers, includes many of the most well-loved elements of Quaker Center camp: a group art project, a service project, visits to a river and a swimming pool, and a wonderful day and sunset at the beach. Back at Quaker Center, campers will enjoy lots of games, hiking (including a silent night-hike to the labyrinth), campfires and the famous QC camp dance party. We’ll also learn about the magic of silence, practice group decision-making, and celebrate our time together.

The second session, for older teens, will also include some of the traditional QC Camp pieces (you’re never too old for campfire songs), and have a deeper emphasis on the meaning of service. Campers will travel together to service projects at social justice organizations in our area, and get a chance to learn about them and participate in their work. We’ll also have a lakeside barbecue, take a group hike in a state park, and watch the sun go down together at the beach.

Questions about grades and ages, and where your camper might best fit? Please send an email to nico@quakercenter.org.

Camp costs and financial support

Again in 2025, the cost of Quaker Center Camp is $1,000 per camper. Financial support is available for those who apply for it from the Pacific Yearly Meeting Youth Programs Fund. We are requesting that families pay what they are able, and submit a request for financial support to the Youth Programs Fund.

Use of Annual Meeting Passes. Campers who are connected with a Quaker Meeting that has a Quaker Center Annual Meeting Pass may use the Pass for a $300 credit towards camp registration. The Meeting Pass discount is good for one camper per Meeting.
