Young and Old for Climate Justice: A Dialog

with George Lakey

January 24th – January 26th, 2020

Registration is currently closed, please contact our office to be added to the waiting list for this event.

As young people go on strike, demand divestment from fossil fuels, and urge a Green New Deal, we invite Friends and others motivated to open a dialogue facilitated by George Lakey on how to effectively communicate across generations and communities to tackle the issues caused by climate change.

Our goal is to affirm strengths, differences, and build unity around effective actions. We encourage Meetings to send younger members to this event and we have reduced fees for Friends 35 and under.

George Lakey was the Eugene M. Lang Visiting Professor for Issues in Social Change at Swathmore College. He has led 1,500 workshops throughout the world as well as activist projects on local, national, and international levels.
