From San Jose and the Bay Area: Take Highway 17 South toward Santa Cruz. Go over the summit and down the mountain to the second Scotts Valley exit (Mt. Hermon Rd., Felton, Big Basin). Go right at end of ramp.*
From Points South: Take Highway 101 North to Salinas. Then Highway 183 to Highway 1 North to Highway 17 at Santa Cruz. Take Highway 17 North to the first Scotts Valley exit (Mt. Hermon Rd., Felton, Big Basin). Follow exit which crosses over Highway 17 and becomes Mt. Hermon Rd.*
*From Scotts Valley, CA (Mt. Hermon Rd.): Take Mt. Hermon Rd. West through Scotts Valley, and continue about 4 miles where it ends in Felton at a "T" intersection with a traffic light. Turn right on Graham Hill Rd. and go one long block to the next traffic light. Turn right again and go North on Highway 9 for 3 miles to Ben Lomond.
From Ben Lomond, CA: Take Highway 9 North from the light at the center of town. Continue one quarter mile to the EconoLodge (on left). About 150 yards past the motel, at the green "Brookdale 1" highway sign, turn left onto Hubbard Gulch Rd. There is a sign for Quaker Center at this intersection. If you reach Alba Rd. or the Orthodox Church of Sts. Peter and Paul, you have gone too far! There are signs for Quaker Center all the way up Hubbard Gulch Rd. 1.3 miles up, watch for specific signs for your group.

Taking Public Transit to Quaker Center
Quaker Center is located 1.5 miles and up a steep hill from the nearest bus stop. The staff will make an effort to provide transportation up the hill for sojourners and Quaker Center program participants, provided they make arrangements ahead of time. Outside groups must provide transportation for their own members.
There are many different options for getting to Quaker Center on public transit. The following directions are based on experience, not expert knowledge. If there are significantly better ways to get to Quaker Center, please let us know.
If travelling from a distance, Amtrack is probably the best option.
From San Francisco: Take CalTrain to San Jose Diridon Station.
From San Jose Diridon Mon - Fri: Take a Hwy 17 Express bus to the Scotts Valley Transit Center. Take an outbound (not towards Santa Cruz) 35 bus to Hwy 9 and Main (across from Scarborough Lumber) in Ben Lomond. There is a pay phone outside of Henfling's Tavern, to the South.
From San Jose Diridon Sat - Sun: Take an Amtrack bus to Santa Cruz Metro Center. Take a 35 bus to Ben Lomond.
